TJ: you think an IM from someone named sex7timnetoday might be spam? :-P
Thalia Blazesong : Oh I don't know dear, what do you think? She might just be a lonely transvestite housewife just barely legal with a webcam.
TJ: hehehe could be
TJ: still, I'm thinking there's a small but measureable chance that it's spam :-P

High on the list of things I never thought I'd say comes: I'm worried about Richard.

That I even care about Richard is a testament to the changes growing up and the army have wrought.

Richard is a step-cousin on my father's side. One of two children Faith brought when she married my father's next youngest brother Ed. He is the youngest of the two and a few years older than me. He went to Burncoat High and was generally considered a terror until the ROTC got ahold of him. While still a terror he was now a diciplined terror. Let's just put it this way, he is an actual red-headed stepchild. There was no love between us growing up. In fact there was some definite hatred. Well, out of high school and into the Army. Which essentially kicked his ass. He was/is stationed out of Jacksonville NC and we saw him one Thanksgiving. He wasn't nearly the same person. I kind of grew to almost like him over those few days two years ago. Now he's a sargent in the army. For a while he was in Germany but now they're in Bagdad, we can track him through my Uncle Rich's old connections. I'm genuinely afraid for him. It's been growing and I didn't really know it until today. Today 6 soldiers were wounded and one died. But almost every day a soldier dies in that damn city. I'm scared it's going to be him. The war isn't over. It's just quieter.

Why couldn't they have sent his older brother? Even better with a target painted on his chest.

War is hell.

Another Survey. Look, it's not like they are all the same!

First bike: White "California Girl" with multi flowers on the seat. It had a white basket with 3 giant fake daisies on it, one was pink, one was purple and one was blue. Why do I remember it so well?
